In the event the previously scheduled Committee meeting adjourns prior to the estimated adjournment time, the other Committee meeting may be called to order, by the Chairman, fifteen minutes after the previous meeting adjourned.

General Statute § 138A-15 mandates that the Chair inquire as to whether any member knows of any known conflict of interest or appearance of conflict with respect to matters before the Commission.  If any member knows of a conflict of interest or appearance of a conflict, please so state at this time.

Explanation: North Carolina General Statute 150B-21.3A requires state agencies to readopt existing rules every ten years. To fulfill this statutory obligation, the North Carolina Division of Air Quality divided several air quality rules into six groups. The sixth group of rules proposed for readoption by the State of North Carolina is termed "Group 6".

Recommendation: The Director recommends that the Commission approve the proposed readoptions, repeals and fiscal note, authorize a public hearing(s), and that the Chairman appoint a member(s) of the Commission to serve as hearing officer(s).

Recommendation: The Director recommends that the EMC approve the re-proposed rule actions, and fiscal note addendum, along with authorizing a public hearing(s) on the re-proposed rule actions, and fiscal note addendum, and that the Chairman appoint a member(s) of the EMC to serve as hearing officer(s).
