The Department of Environmental Quality hereby gives public notice as required by NCGS 113A-119(b) that the following application was submitted for a development permit in an Area of Environmental Concern as designated under the CAMA: On June 9, 2016, LP Homes proposed to develop a 14-lot subdivision (The Village at Lucas Cove), with associated roads, and to construct a bulkhead and community docking facility on East Yacht Dr., between NE 61st & NE 62nd Streets, adjacent to the AIWW in Oak Island, Brunswick County. A copy of the application can be examined or copied at the office of Tara MacPherson, N.C. Dept. of Environmental Quality, Division of Coastal Management, 127 Cardinal Drive Ext., Wilmington, NC 28405, (910-796-7425) during normal business hours.
Comments mailed to Braxton C. Davis, Director, Division of Coastal Management, 400 Commerce Avenue, Morehead City, NC 28557-3421, prior to July 7, 2016 will be considered in making the permit decision. Later comments will be accepted and considered up to the time of permit decision. Project modification may occur based on review and comment by the public and state and federal agencies. Notice of the permit decision in these matters will be provided upon written request.
