I.    Public Notice; Catawba-Wateree Hydroelectric Project FERC No. 2232; Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC; DWR #2008-0915; Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, McDowell and Mecklenburg Counties

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC has applied to the North Carolina Division of Water Resources (DWR) to amend their 401 Water Quality Certification No. 3767, pursuant to Section 401 of the Federal Clean Water Act and Title 15A NCAC 02H .0500.  The certification is required as part of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) license No. 2232.  The modification would incorporate changes to the comprehensive relicensing agreement, which is incorporated by reference in conditions of the certification.  The DWR must take final action on the application prior to September 11, 2017.

The public is invited to comment in writing to the DWR on the application described above.  Comments should be mailed to the NC Division of Water Resources, Attn:  Cory Larsen, 1617 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27669-1617 or emailed to  Comments must be received by DWR no later than close of business on December 16, 2016.
