The North Carolina Mining Commission’s Committee on Rules Readoption will meet virtually on August 29, 2023, beginning at 1 p.m., to continue discussion regarding readoption of Mining Program rules last adopted in 2010. The public is invited to attend by computer or phone.

During its meeting, the Committee will consider administrative and technical changes or updates to the existing rules that were deemed necessary by the Commission, which are available on the Mining Commission website. Information on subsequent meetings, if necessary, will be announced at a later point.

The North Carolina Mining Commission will meet in Raleigh on Aug. 15, 2023, beginning at 1 p.m. The public is invited to attend in person, by computer or phone.

An agenda and supporting documents for both meetings will be posted prior to the meetings on the Commission website.

The North Carolina Oil and Gas Commission will meet in the Training Room at the Green Square building, 217 W. Jones St., Raleigh NC 27603, on Aug. 1, 2023. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m.

The N.C. Sedimentation Control Commission will meet in the Ground Floor Hearing Room of the Archdale Building, located at 512 N. Salisbury Street in Raleigh, on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m., and the public may join in person, by webinar or by phone.

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has completed its Department-wide email address change. Now, all DEQ email addresses will use the @deq.nc.gov domain.

The Commission’s Committee on Rules Readoption will meet at 1:30 p.m. on May 5 to discuss comments received during a spring public comment period. This meeting will be held on Microsoft Teams.
