The state environmental department has issued violations against Duke Energy for allowing wastewater to leak from coal ash basins at twelve facilities.

State officials are seeking public input on proposed changes to state stormwater management rules.

The proposed changes are part of the ongoing review of all state environmental regulations as mandated by legislation passed by the General Assembly in 2013.

The State Water Infrastructure Authority, or SWIA, will meet at 9:00 a.m. March 4, 2016 in the first floor training room (#1210) at Green Square, located at 217 W. Jones St. in Raleigh. The meeting is open to the public.
