Rural Counties to Receive Water Infrastructure Funding

N.C. Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has announced nearly $1 million in water infrastructure funding to help four communities in Madison, Robeson and Swain Counties take steps toward viable water infrastructure, improved water quality, and economic growth.

Water Infrastructure Funding Application Deadline Extended

The Division of Water Infrastructure has extended the deadline for applications for Fall 2018 water infrastructure funding to 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 31, 2018 for all funding programs. Recognizing that Hurricane Florence complicated the ability of some communities to complete their applications, the division chose to amend the original deadline.

State Water Infrastructure Authority to meet April 18–19 in New Bern

The State Water Infrastructure Authority will meet in New Bern April 18 and 19 at the North Carolina History Center at Tryon Palace, 529 South Front Street, in the Debnam-Hunt Board Room. The meeting is open to the public, with an opportunity for informal public comments.

State Water Infrastructure Authority announces funded projects

The State Water Infrastructure Authority has approved more than $240 million in loans and grants for 127 projects statewide, all aimed at improving or replacing North Carolina water and wastewater infrastructure. Funding for this round is awarded through the Community Development Block Grant-Infrastructure program, the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund loan program, Drinking Water State Reserve program, Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan program, and the Wastewater State Reserve program, all administered through the Division of Water Infrastructure.
