Sabina Tareen joined the Division of Environmental Quality (DEQ) in February 2023. She is currently assisting as special Assistant to the Secretary.
Prior to joining DEQ, Sabina served the state for more than 10 years with the Department of Administration (DOA) and then with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in various capacities.
Sabina has been a long-time resident of Raleigh and lives with her kids and husband in the North Raleigh area.
