The Division of Energy, Mineral, and Land Resources (DEMLR) invites public comment on, or objections to, the following NPDES Stormwater Individual Permit to be revised and re-issued. Persons wishing to comment on or object to the draft permit may submit comments to Brianna Young (Attn: DEMLR Stormwater Program) during the public comment period. Written comments may be submitted to the address at end of this message.

All comments received through November 30, 2023, will be considered in the final determinations regarding permit issuance and permit provisions. Public comments may result in changes to the proposed permitting actions.

The following facility has applied for renewal of their NPDES permit to discharge stormwater from their location in Northampton County:

Bakelite Chemicals, LLC, PO Box 368, Conway, NC 27820 has requested renewal of permit NCS000251 for the Conway Resins Plant in Northampton County. This facility discharges to an unnamed tributary to Paddys Delight Creek (Dolittle Millpond) in the Chowan River Basin.

All comments should reference permit number NCS000251.
