The Pender County Utilities [PO Box 955, 605 E. Fremont St., Burgaw, NC 28425] has requested renewal of NPDES permit NC0081736 for its US Highway 421 WWTF, located in Pender County. This permitted facility discharges treated municipal and industrial wastewater to the Cape Fear River, a class C-Sw water in the Cape Fear River Basin. Some of the parameters in the permit are water-quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this segment of the Cape Fear River.
