Elizabeth City has applied for a major modification of its NPDES permit NC0025011 for its municipal wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) located at 450 Cobbs Creek Drive, discharging to the Pasquotank River within the Pasquotank River Basin. The permit is being modified to reduce summer instream monitoring frequency. The following partameters are water-quality limited: CBOD, ammonia (NH3 as N), Total Residual Chlorine (TRC), and Enteracocci. This discharge may affect future wasteload allocations to the receiving stream.
