Currituck County has applied to modify its NPDES permit for the Southern Outer Banks Water System WTP (NC0087670) discharging to the Atlantic Ocean beyond the Pasquotank River Basin. This modification allows an expansion of the filter backwasth discharge to 1.3 MGD. Currently, total residual chlorine and total arsenic are water quality limited.
