State seeks public input on draft stormwater permits for Duke Energy power plants

RALEIGH

The N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources has drafted National Pollution Discharge Elimination, or NPDES, permits for stormwater discharges at the Dan River Combined Cycle Station in Eden, and the Rogers Energy Complex (formerly known as the Cliffside Steam Station) in Mooresboro.

Public comments on the stormwater permits should be mailed to: Stormwater Permitting, 1612 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, N.C., 27699-1612.

permit ends Sept. 8. The public comment period for the Rogers Energy Complex permit ends Sept. 12. All comments received by the comment period closing date will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions.

Public comment periods for the facilitiesā€™ wastewater permits will be held at a later date when those draft permits areĀ  complete.
