State Water Infrastructure Authority to meet Oct. 19 in Raleigh

The State Water Infrastructure Authority, or SWIA, will conduct a meeting via conference call in Raleigh at 9:00 a.m. on Oct. 19, 2016 in room 826V of the Archdale Building, located at 512 N. Salisbury St. The meeting is open to the public, with an opportunity for informal public comments.

The meeting will feature discussions on the draft 2016 State Water Infrastructure Authority Annual Report and draft Master Plan.

Times indicated on the agenda are guidelines. The SWIA is an independent body with primary responsibility for awarding federal and state funding for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Other responsibilities include developing a state water infrastructure master plan, recommending ways to maximize the use of available loan and grant funding resources, and examining best and emerging practices.
