The Piedmont Triad Regional Water Authority has applied for renewal of permit NC0087866 for the John F. Kime Water Treatment Plant in Randolph County. This permitted facility discharges treated filter backwash wastewater to Deep River (Randleman Lake) in the Cape Fear River Basin. Currently turbidity and total residual chlorine are water quality limited. This discharge may affect furture allocations in this portion of the receiving stream.
