The NC Department of Corrections has requested renewal of permit NC0027626 for its Caledonia Correctional Institution WWTP in Halifax County. This permitted facility discharges treated domestic wastewater to the Roayeske River in the Roayeske River Basin. Currently BOD, TSS, TRC and Oil & Grease are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this segment of Roanoke River.
