The City of Albemarle has applied for renwal of NPDES permit NC0075701 for the Tuckertown Water Treatment Plant in Stanly County. The facility is permitted to discharge treated filter backwash to an unnamed tributary to Tuckertown Reservior (Yadkin River) in the Yadkin Pee Dee River Basin. Currently, total residual chlorine, total supended solids, and total copper are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the watershed.
