The County of Wilkes [110 yesrth St., Wilkesboro, NC 28697] has requested renewal of NPDES permit NC0075078 for the Wilkes County Airport WWTP. This permitted facility discharges treated domestic wastewater to an unnamed tributary to Rock Creek in the Yadkin-Pee Dee River Basin. Currently ammonia nitrogen, fecal coliform and total residual chlorine are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of Rock Creek.
