State Water Infrastructure Authority will meet July 20 in Raleigh

The State Water Infrastructure Authority, or SWIA, will meet at 9:00 a.m. on July 20, 2016 at the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center, located at 4021 Carya Drive in Raleigh, N. C. The meeting is open to the public.

Meeting agenda topics include:

  • Funding Decisions for the April 29, 2016 Funding Round for:
    • Clean Water State Revolving Fund
    • State Reserve Projects – Drinking Water and Wastewater
    • Asset Inventory and Assessment Grants
    • Merger / Regionalization Feasibility Grants
  • Connect NC Bond Administration
  • Master Plan Committee Report

Times indicated on the agenda are guidelines. The SWIA is an independent body with primary responsibility for awarding federal and state funding for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Other responsibilities include developing a state water infrastructure master plan, recommending ways to maximize the use of available loan and grant funding resources, and examining best and emerging practices.
