The N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission has modified its agenda for this week’s meeting due to forecasted inclement weather.
Two action items previously scheduled for votes on Friday have been moved to Thursday on the agenda. Those action items are:
- A vote on suspension of a portion of 15A NCAC 03M.0511 to allow the continued reduction of the recreational bluefish creel limit as required by a joint regional and federal fishery management plan; and
- A presentation and vote on proposed language to prepare for rulemaking to address user conflicts pertaining to shellfish leases as required by state law.
The meeting will be held at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center, 203 South Front St., New Bern, and will begin at 6 p.m. tonight, at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, and at 9 a.m. Friday (weather permitting).
Public comment periods are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. tonight and at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.
