The City of Burlington has notified the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Water Resources of elevated 1,4 dioxane levels discharged into the Haw River from the South Burlington Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Written comments must be received or postmarked by 5 p.m. Feb. 1.
The Viable Utility Committee of the State Water Infrastructure Authority will meet via teleconference on Tuesday, Jan. 30, from 2-4 p.m. The public may listen to the meeting online or by phone.
