This permitted facility discharges treated municipal wastewater to the Tuckasegee River, a class C, Tr water in the Little Tennessee River Basin. Currently ammonia, fecal coliform, dissolved oxygen, and pH are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this segment of the Tuckasegee River. Public comment or objection to the draft permit modification is invited. All comments received by July 31, 2024 will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions.

PERMIT APPLICATION
Camp Lejeune, 12 Post Lane, Room 244, Camp Lejeune, N.C., has applied for a renewal of its NPDES wastewater permit (NC0063029) for Camp Lejeune Advanced WWTP, Building FC440, Gonzales Blvd., Marine Camp Base, Camp Lejeune, Onslow County. The facility discharges treated domestic wastewater, landfill leachate, and remediation systems discharge to New River in the White Oak River basin. Some of the parameters are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the White Oak River basin. The location of Outfall 001 is: Latitude: 34038’55”; Longitude: 77020’30".
