Iowat Corporation, 6058 Lois Lane, Archdale, NC 27263 has requested new permit NCS000133 for the Iowat Corporation facility in Randolph County. This facility discharges to an unnamed tributary to Uwharrie River in the Yadkin Pee-Dee River Basin.

North Carolina’s Drought Management Advisory Council (DMAC) has expanded its Severe Drought category (D2 classification) for parts of 15 counties as of Oct. 31.

This permitted facility discharges treated wastewater to East Prong Sanders Creek, a class SA; HQW water in the White Oak River Basin. Some of the parameters in the permit are water quality limited.
