The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ)’s Division of Water Resources has opened the public comment period and will hold four public meetings in April on draft Animal Waste Management Digester System General Permits.

Public Notice of Availability of the DRAFT Virginia Creek TMDL

Draft Virginia Creek TMDL Now Available for Public Comment

The draft TMDL was developed to meet requirements of Section 303(d) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to address fecal coliform impairments. It is subject to approval by EPA.

Student Winners Announced in Climate Change Art Contest

 

The N.C. Climate Education Network (NCCEN) has selected three winners in a statewide art contest focusing on climate change. More than 60 K-12 students participated creating visual art using 30-year climate graphs and data. The winners are:

Public Notice of Availability of the DRAFT 2022 303(d) List

January 11, 2022 - February 28, 2022, All day
The N.C. Division of Water Resources has released the draft 2022 North Carolina 303(d) list and is requesting public comment. The draft 303(d) list, listing methodology, and additional information can be accessed on the website. The draft 303(d) list may be modified based on the comments received. The final North Carolina 2022 303(d) list will be posted after EPA approval.
