This permitted facility discharges treated domestic wastewater to an unnamed tributary to Warrior Creek in the Yadkin-Pee Dee River Basin. Currently ammonia nitrogen, fecal coliform, and total residual chlorine are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the river basin. The Wilkes County Board of Education [613 Cherry Street, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659] has applied for renewal of permit NC0046426 for its Traphill Elementary School WWTP. This permitted facility discharges treated domestic wastewater to Little Sandy Creek in the Yadkin-Pee Dee River Basin. Currently, fecal coliform is water quality limited. Public comment or objection to the draft permit is invited. All comments received by August 18, 2023, will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions.

PERMIT APPLICATION
Duke Energy Progress, LLC, 526 South Church St., Charlotte, N.C., has applied for renewal of its NPDES wastewater permit (NC0007064) for Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, Highway 87 North, Brunswick County. The facility discharges treated industrial wastewater and stormwater to Atlantic Ocean. Some of the parameters are water quality limited. The location of Outfall 001 is: Latitude: 33053’31”; Longitude: 78003’22”.
