The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Air Quality (DAQ) today is releasing requests for proposals (RFPs) for two grant programs aimed at reducing air pollution from the transportation sector: One for electric vehicle chargers and another for clean vehicle replacements.

Applications are closed. Awards were announced in October 2025.

The N.C. Coastal Resources Commission (CRC) Science Panel is scheduled to meet via web conference on Dec. 5 at 9 a.m. to continue its review of Inlet Hazard Area boundaries. The public may listen to the meeting by computer or phone.

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s (NCDEQ) State Energy Office (SEO) is requesting applications for distribution of the North Carolina EECBG award. The funding for this program was awarded to SEO by the United States Department of Energy (DOE) as part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). This funding is to be distributed throughout the state of North Carolina for the purpose of supporting building energy assessments, energy audits, and building upgrades.
