SPECIAL ORDER BY CONSENT FOR

CPI USA NORTH CAROLINA – SOUTHPORT PLANT

SOUTHPORT, BRUNSWICK COUNTY

CPI USA North Carolina – Southport Plant (the Company) operates a cogeneration facility that combusts fuel to produce steam and electricity in Brunswick County, North Carolina.  The facility is located at 1281 Power House Dr SE, Southport, NC 28461.  The Company has agreed to a Special Order by Consent (SOC) with the North Carolina Division of Air Quality (DAQ) for potential violations of their SO2 permit limit.  The terms of the SOC require emissions reporting, stipulated penalties for exceedances and a feasibility report for subsequent action to reduce or control emissions.

Interested persons are invited to review the proposed SOC, and to submit written comments to the DAQ at the above address, so that the comments are received by June 23, 2016. Any person requesting a public meeting regarding the proposed SOC should submit a written request with a statement supporting the need for such a meeting. The request should be sent to the DAQ at the above address, so that the request is received by June 23, 2016.  The DAQ Director shall take final action for the Commission on Consent Orders within 60 days of the initial public notice.
