The City of Jacksonville requested renewal of permit NC0088455 for its New Frontier Way Nanofiltration Water Treatment Plant in Onslow County. This permitted discharge is filter backwash to the New River in the White Oak River Basin. Currently, total residual chlorine, turbidity, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus are water quality limited parameters. This discharge may affect future water quality allocations in this segment of the New River.
