Public Notice; Placement of Dredged Material on Oceanfront Beaches; DWR #2008-0806 v8, Brunswick/Onslow/New Hanover counties, NC
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that on August 14, 2024, the US Army Corps of Engineers, applied to the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR) for a 401 Individual Water Quality Certification, pursuant to Section 401 of the Federal Clean Water Act and Title 15A NCAC 02H .0500. The activity for which this certification is sought is for maintenance of Federal navigation channels and placement of dredged material on oceanfront beaches. The DWR’s proposed date of final action on the application is September 19, 2024.
Written comments on the application described above must be received by DWR no later than 5 p.m. on September 19, 2024. Written comments may be submitted online by filling out the Public Notice Comment Form here: https://edocs.deq.nc.gov/Forms/401_Public_Notice_Comments. Written comments may also be mailed to: 401 Permitting, 1617 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC, 27699-1617.
