Public Notice and Notice of a Public Hearing on January 7, 2021 for Chatham Park Investors, LLC – Chatham Park North Village; and co-applicant N.C. Department of Transportation – Chatham Parkway North (NCDOT STIP# R-5930) 401 Water Quality Certification; DWR #20200533 Version 2

 

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that on September 8, 2020, Chatham Park Investors, LLC (100 Weston Estates Way, Cary, NC 27513) and the N.C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT Division 8, 121 DOT Drive, Carthage, NC 28327) applied to the N.C. Division of Water Resources (DWR) for an Individual 401 Water Quality Certification pursuant to Section 401 of the Federal Clean Water Act and Title 15A NCAC 02H .0500. In accordance with the application submitted on September 8, 2020, Chatham Park Investors, LLC and NCDOT are seeking the certification to permanently impact 0.411 acres of 404 jurisdictional wetlands, 1,756 linear feet of jurisdictional streams, 1.106 acres of non-jurisdictional isolated wetlands, and 442 linear feet of permanent-no loss stream impacts, and to temporarily impact 0.008 acres of jurisdictional wetlands and 1,301 linear feet of jurisdictional streams to construct Chatham Park North Village development in Chatham County; and to permanently impact 801 linear feet of jurisdictional streams, 79,639 square feet of riparian buffers, and 327 linear feet of permanent-no loss stream impacts, and to temporarily impact 80 linear feet of jurisdictional stream to construct the Chatham Parkway North roadway in Chatham County.

The public is hereby notified that DWR will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 via an online WebEx meeting event below. Sign-in will begin at 5:45 p.m. The purpose of this public hearing is to allow interested persons to submit oral comments regarding the 401 Water Quality Certification application submitted to DWR.
