Four experts in electric power infrastructure protection have been invited to speak at the May 18, 2016 Energy Policy Council meeting about potential threats to grid security and strategies to strengthen energy assurance. They are:
- Dr. George Baker, Professor Emeritus, James Madison University and senior staff member on the 2002-2008 Congressional Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Commission.
- Dr. Andrew Phillips, Technical Director of Transmission and Substations Area, Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI).
- Jack Anderson, Senior Analyst, National Protection & Programs Directorate, Office of Infrastructure Protection, U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
- Nelson Peeler, Vice President of Transmission System Operations, Duke Energy
