Brunswick County applied to renew NPDES permit for their Northwest (Hood Creek) WTP [NC0057533], 3954 Clearwell Dr. NE, Leland, discharging filter-backwash wastewater to Hood Creek, Cape Fear River Basin. Currently Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Total Residual Chlorine (TRC), pH, Total Copper, Total Fluoride, and Total Aluminum is water quality limited. This discharge may affect future wasteload allocations in this portion of Hood Creek.
