Kapstone Kraft Paper Corporation at 100 Gaston Road, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870 has applied for renewal of NPDES permit NC0000752 for its Roanoke Rapids Mill WWTP in Halifax County. This permitted facility discharges treated process wastewater through outfall 001 and non-contact cooling water through outfall 002 to the Roanoke River in the Roanoke River Basin. Currently, Total Copper is water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the watershed.
