This is a two-part workshop. Part 1 is a self-paced online module that covers the basics, which will be emailed to you around January 15. This must be completed prior to attending Part 2, the in-person workshop on January 29 where you will interact with peers and local experts.
Workshop Objectives - Participants will:
- Describe how green or natural infrastructure contributes to reducing the impacts of hazards and building resilience;
- Analyze factors for consideration when choosing and planning green or natural infrastructure projects, including hazard reduction benefits, co-benefits, design, maintenance, and cost;
- Identify and assess approaches for successful implementation, including planning, funding, partners, and stakeholder engagement; and
- Identify green or natural infrastructure local projects and connect with local experts who can provide additional information and guidance.
