Notice of Intent to Issue a NPDES Wastewater Permit NC0029572 Farmville WWTP and NC0023931 GUC WWTP
The North Carolina Environmental Management Commission proposes to issue a NPDES wastewater discharge permit to the person(s) listed below. Written comments regarding the proposed permit will be accepted until 30 days after the publish date of this notice. The Director of the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR) may hold a public hearing should there be a significant degree of public interest. Please mail comments and/or information requests to DWR at the above address. Interested persons may visit the DWR at 512 N. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27604 to review information on file. Town of Farmville requested renewal of permit NC0029572 for its WWTP in Pitt County; this discharge is to Little Contentnea Creek/Neuse River Basin. Currently, BOD, ammonia, fecal coliform, pH, dissolved oxygen, total residual chlorine, total copper, total lead, total silver, total nitrogen loading and total phosphorous are water quality limited. Greenville Utilities Commission requested renewal of permit NC0023931/GUC Wastewater Treatment Plant/Pitt County; this discharge is to the Tar River/Tar-Pamlico River Basin. Currently, CBOD, ammonia, fecal coliform, pH, dissolved oxygen, total nitrogen loading and total phosphorous loading are water quality limited.
