Notice of Intent to Issue a NPDES Wastewater Permit NC0089524 Pluris Hampstead, LLC The North Carolina Environmental Management Commission proposes to issue a NPDES wastewater discharge permit to the person(s) listed below. Written comments regarding the proposed permit will be accepted until 30 days after the publish date of this notice. The Director of the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR) may hold a public hearing should there be a significant degree of public interest. Please mail comments and/or information requests to DWR at the above address. Interested persons may visit the DWR at 512 N. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27604 to review information on file. Pluris Hampstead, LLC [1095 Hwy 210, Sneads Ferry, NC 28460] has requested renewal of its NPDES permit NC0089524 for Pluris Hampstead WWTF in Pender County. This facility discharges treated domestic wastewater to an unnamed tributary to Island Creek in the Cape Fear River Basin. Currently, BOD, ammonia nitrogen, dissolved oxygen, and total residual chlorine are water quality limited parameters. This discharge may affect future allocations into this portion of the Cape Fear River Basin. (Public Notice will run in the Wilmington Star on 6/5/22).
