Pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. §162A-68.5(c), the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of Henderson County hereby gives notice of a telephonic public hearing by the Environmental Management Commission of the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (the “EMC”) on the issue of inclusion of the current Cane Creek Water and Sewer District of Henderson County (“CCWSD”) into the Metropolitan Sewerage District of Buncombe County (“MSD”). This public hearing will be held at the following location, on the follow date and time:

Date: Monday, April 27, 2020 Time: 6:00pm to 6:30pm. The end time of the hearing may be extended at the hearing officer’s discretion, pending public interest.
(Speakers calling in will be required to give their name and address, and each speaker will be limited to three minutes. Questions will not be allowed, but speakers and non-speakers may also include written comments at the email address shown below.)
After this hearing, the EMC will determine whether the inclusion of the CCWSD into MSD will adversely affect customer service; and will promote and protect the public health and welfare of the district. Notice of this hearing shall be posted and published as required by N.C. Gen. Stat. §162A-68.5(c).
