The Division of Energy, Mineral, and Land Resources (DEMLR) invites public comment on, or objections to, the following NPDES Stormwater Individual Permit to be issued. Persons wishing to comment on or object to the draft permit may submit comments to Brianna Young (Attn: DEMLR Stormwater Program) during the public comment period. Written comments may be submitted to the address at end of this message.

All comments received through May 17, 2024, will be considered in the final determinations regarding permit issuance and permit provisions. Public comments may result in changes to the proposed permitting actions.

The following facility has applied a new NPDES permit to discharge stormwater from their location in Surry County:

Insteel Wire Products Company, 1510 Carter Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030 has requested new coverage under permit NCS000346 for the Insteel Wire Products facility in Surry County. This facility proposes to discharge to an unnamed tributary to Ararat River and an unnamed tributary to Lovills Creek, both in the Yadkin Pee Dee River Basin

All comments should reference permit number NCS000346.
