The Division of Energy, Mineral, and Land Resources (DEMLR) invites public comment on, or objections to, the following NPDES Stormwater Individual Permit to be issued. Persons wishing to comment on or object to the draft permit may submit comments to Brianna Young (Attn: DEMLR Stormwater Program) during the public comment period. Written comments may be submitted to the address at end of this message.

All comments received through February 9, 2024, will be considered in the final determinations regarding permit issuance and permit provisions. Public comments may result in changes to the proposed permitting actions.

The following facility has applied a new NPDES permit to discharge stormwater from their location in Halifax County:

Culpeper of Roanoke Rapids, 2262 West 10th Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870 has requested new permit NCS000592 for the Culpeper of Ronaoke Rapids facility in Halifax County. This facility discharges to an unnamed tributary to Chockoyette Creek in the Roanoke River Basin.

All comments should reference permit number NCS000592.
