Notice of Intent to Issue a NPDES Wastewater Permit NC0023281, Tapoco Lodge & Village WWTP, and NC0032808, Morningstar of Jackson WWTP. The North Carolina Environmental Management Commission proposes to issue a NPDES wastewater discharge permit to the person(s) listed below.
Tapoco Partners, LLC [14981 Tapoco Road, Robbinsville, NC 28771] requested renewal of permit NC0023281 for the Tapoco Lodge & Village WWTP in Graham County. This facility discharges to the Little Tennessee River of the Little Tennessee River Basin. Currently, no parameters are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the Little Tennessee River.
Western Valley Properties, LLC [505 Racking Cove Road, Sylva, NC 28779] has requested renewal of permit NC0032808 for Morningstar of Jackson WWTP in Jackson County. This facility discharges to Blanton Branch in the Little Tennessee River Basin. Currently, fecal coliform and total residual chlorine are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of Blanton Branch.
Written comments regarding the proposed permit will be accepted until 30 days after the publish date of this notice. The Director of the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR) may hold a public hearing should there be a significant degree of public interest.
