N.C. DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY INTENT TO ISSUE NPDES WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT #NC0004774
Public comment or objection to the draft permit is invited. All comments received by February 28, 2025, will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions.
PERMIT APPLICATION
Duke Energy Progress, LLC, 526 South Church St., Charlotte, N.C., has applied for a Renewal of its NPDES wastewater permit (NC0004774) for Buck Combined Cycle Station, 1385 Dukeville Rd., Salisbury, Rowan County. The facility discharges industrial wastewater, sanitary wastewater, groundwater, and stormwater to Yadkin River in the Yadkin River basin. Some parameters are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the Yadkin River basin. The location of Outfall 001A is: Latitude: 35.71384°; Longitude: -80.37539°. The location of Outfall 007 is: Latitude: 35.71545°; Longitude: -80.36522°. The location of Outfall 111 is: Latitude: 35.707126°; Longitude: -80.374034°. The location of Outfall 117 is: Latitude: 35.7058°; Longitude: -80.3753°.
