N.C. DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY INTENT TO ISSUE NPDES WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT #NC0090239
Public comment or objection to the draft permit is invited. All comments received by August 4, 2023, will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions.
PERMIT APPLICATION
Ely Lilly and Company, 1420 Concord Parkway South, Concord, N.C., has applied for a new NPDES wastewater permit (NC0090239) for its Concord facility in Cabarrus County. The facility discharges cooling water to unnamed tributary to Coddle Creek in the Catawba River basin. No parameters are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the Catawba River basin. The locations of Outfall 001 is: Latitude: 35023’29.1”; Longitude: 80037’40.7”; Outfall 003 is: Latitude: 35023’32.7”; Longitude: 80037’59.3”.
