Public Comment Period for Proposed Remedial Action Plan for the Stedman Landfill (Cumberland County)

In accordance with N.C.G.S. 130A-310.9(b) the Pre-Regulatory Landfill Unit in the N.C. Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Waste Management is soliciting public comment on the proposed Remedial Action Plan to address environmental contamination (e.g. contaminated soil, sediment, surface water, etc.) at the pre-1983 landfill, Stedman Landfill (Site) located on Page Road in Stedman (Cumberland County).

AECOM Technical Services of North Carolina, Incorporated is the state contractor that has prepared the remedial action plan and will implement the work at the Site. The Pre-Regulatory Landfill Unit is responsible for direct oversight and review of these activities. The proposed Remedial Action Plan contains a description of the remed4ial alternative to address environmental contamination at the Site and has been prepared in accordance with N.C.G.S. 130A-310.6(c) and (d).
