I.    Public Notice and Notice of a Public Hearing on January 20, 2022, for Terramor Homes-Westpoint Individual 401 Water Quality Certification; DWR #20210224 Version 1

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that on September 16, 2021, Terramor Homes (7208 Falls of Neuse Road, Raleigh, NC 27615) applied to the N.C. Division of Water Resources (DWR) for an Individual 401 Water Quality Certification pursuant to Section 401 of the Federal Clean Water Act and Title 15A NCAC 02H .0500. In addition, Terramor Homes requested a buffer authorization pursuant to the Neuse River Riparian Protection Rules (15A NCAC 02B .0714). In accordance with the application, Terramor Homes is seeking the certification to permanently impact 0.106 acres of wetlands, 149 linear feet of streams, 10,097 square feet of Zone 1 riparian buffer, and 4,591 square feet of Zone 2 riparian buffer to construct a residential development in Durham County, North Carolina.     

The public is hereby notified that DWR will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022, via an online WebEx meeting event linked below.  Sign-in will begin at 5:45 p.m. The purpose of this public hearing is to allow interested persons to submit oral comments regarding the 401 Water Quality Certification application submitted to DWR.

Written comments must be received by DWR no later than 5:00 p.m. on February 21, 2022.  Please email written comments to PublicComments@ncdenr.gov.  Please include “Westpoint” in the email’s subject line.
