N.C. DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY INTENT TO ISSUE NPDES
WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT #NC0057533
Public comment or objection to the draft permit is invited. All comments received by December 5, 2019 will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions.
PERMIT APPLICATION
Brunswick County has applied for an NPDES permit modification for the Northwest Water Treatment Plant, 3954 Clearwell Drive NE, Leland, NC, in Brunswick County, to discharge wastewater to Hood Creek and to discharge wastewater to the Cape Fear River, both in the Cape Fear River Basin. A copy of the draft wastewater permit is available upon request by contacting Brianna Young of the Division of Water Resources at 919-707-3619, or by e-mail at: Brianna.Young@ncdenr.gov. A copy of the draft wastewater permit is available online at https://edocs.deq.nc.gov/WaterResources/Welcome.aspx?cr=1. PUBLIC HEARING
The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality will hold a public hearing to accept comments on the aforementioned draft permit from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the Brunswick County Commissioners Chambers in the Brunswick County Government Complex, 30 Government Center Drive NE, Bolivia, NC 28422. Speaker registration begins at 5:30 pm.
