An addendum to the division's 2016 and 2017 Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Network Plan will be available for public comments from December 20 to January 20, 2017. The addendum describes the new Skyland DRR sulfur dioxide site which will be established before the end of 2016 to monitor the air quality in the vicinity of the Duke Energy Asheville facility. The addendum must be provided to the public for a 30-day public comment period before being submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for approval.
INFORMATION: The addendum to the Ambient Air Monitoring Annual Network Monitoring Plan will be posted for 30 days on the division’s website starting on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. It will also be available for review at the Division of Air Quality Raleigh Central Office located at 217 West Jones Street, Raleigh, North Carolina. Copies may also be obtained from Joette Steger at the address below.
