The Town of Vanceboro (P.O. Box 306, Vanceboro, NC 28586) has applied for renewal of NPDES permit NC0031828 for its Vanceboro WWTP in Craven County. This permitted facility discharges treated wastewater to Swift Creek in the Neuse River Basin. Currently, total residual chlorine, dissolved oxygen, BOD 5-day, total suspended solids, ammonia nitrogen, fecal coliform, and total phosphorus are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the watershed.
