The Virginia DOT (1401 East Broad Street, Richmond VA, 23219) has requested renewal of NPDES permit NC0039420 for their I-77 Rest Area WWTP discharge in Surry County. This permitted facility discharges treated domestic wastewater to Naked Run Creek in the Yadkin-Pee Dee River Basin. Currently, ammonia nitrogen, fecal coliform, and total residual chlorine are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the Yadkin-Pee Dee River Basin.
