The Town of Weldon has applied for renewal of its NPDES permit NC0025721 for the Weldon WWTP, off US Highway 301, East of Welden, North Carolina in Halifax County. This permitted facility discharges treated wastewater to the Roanoke River in the Roanoke River Basin. Currently, BOD and Total Residual Chlorine are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the watershed.
