Whiteside Estates, Inc. [P.O. Box 100, Highlands, NC 28741] requested renewal of permit NC0075736 for its proposed WWTP in Jackson County. This permitted facility, if constructed, would discharge treated domestic wastewater to Grassy Camp Creek in the Little Tennessee River Basin. Currently BOD, ammonia nitrogen, fecal coliform, total suspended solids, dissolved oxygen and total residual chlorine are water quality limited. This proposed discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of Grassy Camp Creek.
