State Water Infrastructure Authority to meet Feb. 28 in Raleigh

The State Water Infrastructure Authority will conduct a meeting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28 in the Ground Floor Hearing Room, Archdale Building, 512 N. Salisbury St., Raleigh.

The meeting is open to the public, with an opportunity for informal public comments.

Items on the agenda include:

  • Discussion of funding decisions for the Fall 2017 application round (Clean Water State Revolving Fund, Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, Asset Inventory and Assessment Grants, Merger/Regionalization Grants)
  • Discussion of funding recommendations for the Community Development Block Grant-Infrastructure grants
  • Discussion of the Clean Water State Revolving Fund and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Priority Rating Systems for use in the 2018 Intended Use Plans

Times indicated on the agenda are guidelines. The authority is an independent body with primary responsibility for awarding federal and state funding for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Other responsibilities include developing a state water infrastructure master plan, recommending ways to maximize the use of available loan and grant funding resources, and examining best and emerging practices.
